Biodiversity Workshop

On Monday we attended a workshop in Clondalkin Library on biodiversity. We learned a lot about the environment and picked up tips and tricks about how we can help our environment to flourish and grow.
We created our own seed bombs which we will plant.

Clondalkin Library

Since September we have had monthly visits to the lovely library in Clondalkin. It is a great amenity in our local area and we have really enjoyed our visits.

An Afternoon with Jole Bortoli at the Ark

On Friday third class had a very exciting and creative day at The Ark Children's Centre in Temple Bar. We attended an art workshop entitled Me and the City. A very talented artist Jole Bortoli took us through a very interesting exhibition which show cased the art you might see around the city. This ranged from street furniture, road makings and lights to statues, murals and graffiti. We were shown a range of different architecture and the architects who created them.
We got to create and build our own city using recycled materials and after we got to put our architect's hat on to design our own buildings.
We were all given the same materials so it was fascinating to see how different they all turned out. Thanks to Sr. Mary and Ms. Ryan who came on the trip with us.
Here are our photos of a fun filled day.
