Have you seen these children?

Over the past few months we have been reading the novel 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roal Dahl. We imagined one of the children from the story committed a crime... Here's some examples of our wanted posters (made by Lucja W. Josie, Caoimhe and Tessa):

More planting

We planted more seeds in our classroom.. Have a look!

We also tested our soil, to see if it was mostly sand, silt or clay. One of the most important properties of soil is the texture. Texture is a measure of whether the soil is more like sand, silt, or clay. The more like sand a soil is the less water it can hold and the less nutrients it delivers. On the other hand, the more like clay a soil is, the more water it can hold.

Here is Alannah adding 1/2 soil, 1/2 water and leaving an inch of air:

Here is Ana-Maria adding shaking the mixture. We then left it to settle overnight and checked it the next morning:

We have a test on soil profile this Friday. Here's the diagram we will be labelling:

Here in Room 15, we have been practicing report writing. This week we wrote reports about the Easter bunny being on the run. Here's some examples (Lael, Gaja, Caoimhe, Laura and Grace):

Here's two close up examples by Lucja W. and Charlotte:

Rainbow Rubber Eggs Experiment

As Easter is approaching we decided to an Easter themed eggsperiment. We soaked eggs in vinegar and will be observing what happens over the next few days...
